About Our Programs

Healing through community and faith

The Unshakeable Foundation offers peer-based programs for veterans, first responders, active duty military, and their adult family members impacted by Post-Traumatic Stress. Our programs are built on the belief that real healing happens in community — through honest conversation, shared experience, and faith.

There is no cost to attend, no application process, and no official diagnosis required. Just show up.

What to Expect

A community that
understands.

Join a community of people who understand what you are going through. Every step is designed to meet you where you are.

Firm Foundation

1 hour per week

Join our weekly meetings — currently for men, with women's groups coming soon — where you'll start with a workout adaptable for all physical abilities, then gather around a fire to hear a testimony on breaking free from the bonds of PTS and participate in a peer-led discussion.

D-Groups

Weekly, small group

When you are ready to dig deeper, join a peer-led D-Group to explore how the testimony and devotional apply directly to healing your soul. A small group environment built for honest conversation and real growth.

Biblical Counseling

By appointment

Biblical counseling is available to all those who are interested — providing one-on-one guidance grounded in scripture for those seeking deeper personal healing.

Have Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

We currently have a weekly men's program in Williamsburg, VA. A women's program is coming soon.

All programming is free of charge.

Men and women above the age of 18 are eligible for our program if they are first responders, veterans, active duty military, or a family member impacted by PTS.

No. We realize that an official diagnosis can impact your current employment. If you have experienced trauma and are affected by it, you are welcome to join our program. If you are a spouse or adult child of a first responder, veteran, or active duty service member who has PTS — or you have PTS yourself — you are welcome to join our program.

You do not need to apply, simply attend our Firm Foundation program or contact the office for more information.

That depends on you. We have multiple levels of programming. The Firm Foundation is one hour per week. You are also welcome, and encouraged, to join a D-Group. Biblical Counseling is by appointment only.

Please contact the office so we can discuss details.

Simply put, men and women are different. While the programs are roughly the same, to honor the sensitive nature of what is discussed, including sexual assault and abuse, we separate based on gender.

No, everyone is welcome. While we do base our discussions on scripture, you may find that having a community of people that get what you are going through is life changing.

The nature of the discussions may not be appropriate for children, and we want all of our participants to speak freely. Ask your group leader or contact the office about family days.
